A Life Set Apart: Honoring Kay Arthur and Announcing the Film Adaptation of “Israel, My Beloved”

Kay Arthur
Nov. 11, 1933 – May 20, 2025

There are a few names in modern history whose faithfulness to the Word of God has left an undeniable mark on the world. One of those names is Kay Arthur.

A Bible teacher. A warrior of truth. A woman set apart.

For over five decades, Kay Arthur has dedicated her life to one mission: helping people around the world discover truth for themselves through the unshakable Word of God. Her ministry, Precept, has grown from humble beginnings to become one of the most influential global discipleship movements in history—equipping over 100 million people in 180 countries with Bible study tools in nearly 100 languages. The reach is staggering. The impact is eternal.

But it wasn’t just her voice from the stage or her pen in study guides that transformed lives. Of the hundred books she authored, Kay wrote one novel. Just one. But what a novel it was.

“Israel My Beloved”: A Love Story for the Ages

Published in 1996, Israel My Beloved is not just historical fiction. Prophecy, passion, and power are bound in its pages. Inspired by scripture, which she dedicated her life to teaching, Kay Arthur crafted a sweeping epic that follows Sarah, a personification of Israel, through thousands of years of joy, betrayal, loss, and redemption. From Abraham to Babylon to the rebirth of the nation, and what lies ahead, this story is the gospel written in the blood, covenant, and relentless love of God for His people.

Reading it is like having the entire Bible burst alive in the soul.

It is, in a word, cinematic.

And now, her dream—to see Israel My Beloved brought to life on screen—is becoming a reality.

From Page to Screen: A New Era Begins

I had the incredible honor of knowing Kay and hearing her heartbeat for this story. We worked together diligently on what the adaptation would be like, and it’s the honor of my life to be carrying the torch to tell this story to the world.

Today, I’m humbled to announce that we are bringing “Israel My Beloved” to the screen as the first installment in an epic multi-film franchise—a redemptive journey on par with The Chosen, The Passion of the Christ, and Game of Thrones. The story of Israel like you’ve never heard it before, written by a woman of unshakable faith, and poised to awaken the world once again.

And this is just the beginning.
